Each year, the Nevada Day parade makes its way through downtown Carson City in the biggest event of the year. The annual celebration of Nevada’s induction into Statehood is a time-honored and popular tradition, with upwards of 20,000 people flocking to the Capital region.
This year, however, you don’t have to be in the Capital city to be a part of the celebration!
For the first time, viewers will be able to watch the celebration from the comfort of their own homes, as the 2019 Nevada Day Parade will be broadcast live nationally! The broadcast is produced and directed by the National Grassroots Broadcasting Network (NGBN) and it’s flagship affiliate NGBN Carson City TV, available on all connected TV applications, such as Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire Stick. You can also watch online at CarsonCityNV.TV or on Carson City TV’s Facebook page (@NGBNCarsoncity tv).
The broadcast will kick off with a pre show celebration, beginning at 9:20 AM. The Carson HeARTbeat presented by the Brewery Arts Center will feature live performances by the Wild Horse Children’s Theater, Kingwhistler, Youth Theater Carson City, and Cindy Sabatini! The Carson HeARTbeat pre show will be hosted by Michael Wiencek.
Immediately following the talented acts brought to you by the Brewery Arts Center, the parade officially gets underway at 10 am PST. The broadcast will continue through the afternoon, as there are over 200 entrants into this year’s event. The parade event will be hosted by Alex Walden and Ken Farley, anchors of the upcoming “Good Day Carson” morning show, scheduled to premiere next month.
There will also be several local locations broadcasting the parade, including Mangia Tutto.
